My newest single "Gillian" releases on Thursday, May 21st! And I wanted to host a release party on Friday, May 22nd to celebrate! I'll be performing the song acoustically, along with a number of my other tunes, and inviting Q&A about my songs and creative process.

"Gillian" is an electronic, ethereal narrative song, inspired by a character in Frederick Buechner's novel "Godric" and her relationship with the book's namesake. May 21st happens to be St. Godric's feast day! The story deals with an unconventional hero's journey, the human struggle with temptation, longing for connection, fear of abandonment and loss, asceticism, and spiritual awakening. Gillian is like Godric's conscience, manifested as a beautiful woman, so close, yet out of reach. She comforts and encourages him along his journey.
